ok i added API pro series fungus cure to my tank to get rid of fin fungus but the first thing i notice is that it turned my water bright green what do i do i've allways heard catfish are sensitive to dyes and meds the box dosn't say anything will my pictus rapheal and lima shovelnose be ok i think my cichlids and bichir will be fine but what about my catfish

some medications will discolor the water.

if the medication itself is safe for "sensitive" fish, then your fishes will be fine.

if in doubt, use half dose.

However, I rarely (almost never) use medication. salt does magic when curing fungus (and a whole list of other common disease, parasite, infections).

i tried useing salt i was adding 1 1/2 teaspoons per gallon but i didn't seem to help much so i got worried but most are fine and i hope if there ok now thay will be ok

well i was actually trying to heal my firemouth cichlids but its not looking good im not sure whats wrong with him but now the raphael catfish has shed and now is sort of orange

that could be because the meds are irritating his skin, catfish have very very fine flaky scales... I would put carbon back in and add some slime coat mixture with aloe into the tank... then separate your firemouth into a hospital tank and use melafixe/pimafix combo with aquarium salt and slightly raise the temps. Best of luck bro
