My newly bought rtc is not eating i have a small little cave on my tank and i guess he is sleeping inside?

The fish probably needs time to adjust to the tank but normally are out and about once fully acclimated. What are the tankmates and what size tank is he in?
20 im upgrading into a 100 gallon tank soon but im not keeping the pacu and the RTC im gonna sell them when they get big enough.
The only reason i bought him is because he is sitting in a stupid 1 gallon tank and the owner said he eats live goldfish which is bad
you aren't selling any of them I promise you that....they will outgrow that 100 in easily a year. I'm not trying to be a douche here but you need to realize that people don't buy pacu and rtc especially when they are larger. There are far too many of them
If you just got it and your ammonia and nitrite are flat at zero ppm and your aeration is adequate and there is no bullying / predation, you most likely have nothing to worry about.
