Do you mean the spot that's above eye tbh the PBass looks great. I personally don't think its HTH but others may have a different opinion.
Don’t look like they are eroding. If any concern make sure ur water is pristine and feed a varied diet.

. If it just started good time to give a little vitamins // either treated in water or can include into food.There is no problem with the water quality or there diet or the filtration or the tank size e.t.c.. I have a fish room with a lot of big fish and big tanks I have been in the hobby a while now, only thing that changed in the bass tank was the temperature due to the heat wave last week.. it's hard to except that the heat wave has caused the bass enough stress to give him any disease let alone this
