Hmmmm...

lets run through some things...

i understand when you got him he was kept in F/W and i know you planned on getting salinity levels up...

question is:

1. How fast did you raise the salinity level and by how much each time from fresh and did you use a refractometer or similar tool to measure when doing it?

2. was there any tank mates in the tank?

3. How long was he kept in fresh water if you know?

4. what temps are the tank kept at?

Salt was really hard to come by on the short notice. By the time i managed to get my hands on some it was already floating aroumd like that.
He did not have tankmates
I dont really know how long he was kept in fresh water for. I had him for maybe 2 days but the add went up 3 days before that so at least 5 days.

Ive not had a very good week fish wise. Lost my baby jardini the day i got the puffer too

Thats just unlucky then but dont give up as there are plenty of true freshwater puffers out there...

and if you arent sure if they are truly fresh or not just ask
