Corydoras, tetras, rasboras, some species of exotic pleco, some fancy gold fish... anything that stays down under 4".

Thanks. What is the maximum number of these fish should I keep? Or are you saying to get just one? Do they all live well together?

Goldfish are NOT good for 10 gallon tanks as they need a lot of swimming space, and get way too large.

But there are many wonderful Rasboras, danios, dwarf gouramis, cory cats, glass cats, that kind of thing. Don't forget livebearers - swordtails, guppies, mollies.

Yeah...common goldfish will barely fit in a 29g. You can get most tetras, and whatever everybody said.

If you can, get 4 or so black skirt tetras, they really are awesome.

put a 55g in your sons room and get him an oscar. (im a son, so I would know, any kid would love that) or better yet, get him a 100g with a dozen piranhas! any kid would kill for that!

Lol ya! Actually 55g is pretty small for an oscar. go 75+

Thanks but, I have a 210 in the living area, 55 in my bedroom, I am just afraid that my child is too young and it will be a hazard in the bedroom where I can not see it.
