My pleco always ate the eggs. I find my angels have a hard time fending off a 10 inch pleco who wants eggs in the daytime. At night, the angels sleep so the eggs will have no chance. You can try using a divider or moving the pleco somewhere else. For breeding Angels, they prefer longer leaves like that of an amazon sword and will move the "wiggler" fry from leaf to leaf. I find my male angel liked to eat the eggs after a day or two too so I only leave the female with them until they are ready to free swim. My pair also spawned on the side of the tank where that black thermometer strip is.

If you want a bottom cleaner that will leave eggs and fry alone, I heard a panda cory is good. But you should double check though.

On a side note, I have three 3.5" bristlenose plecs with abreeding pair of convicts. 7 Spawns later, and not a single egg has been touched.

I had a cory catfish that ate the eggs once. I woke up one morning and saw all but five eggs were eaten, and a hungry catfish was eating the rest
