  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
good read, i got two that are stable on and off. They're about 8", then I got one at about 5" which was totally stable when bought, now is always dark brown or black sometimes. And got another little 3-4" one that is super stable all the time.

Maybe I'll try and take out the driftwood and add fake plants or something

I just started with dats they're awesome. I have stability problems too it's a total bummer. I've got 2 indo's one around 5" and one at 3" mark. Both were black in shark aquarium. The larger dat is only stable during water changes and feedings. The little dat is stable as long as the big dat is in his cave. The larger dats a real bully tormenting the little one. It's a real shame since the little guy seems to be more stable. I'm gonna buy some thin bars and see if that changes things up. Dats are awesome took one feeding and they recognize me running to the front of the tank when I approach and besides my gulpers they're totally unafraid of my arms presence during water changes and tank maintenance. They actually approach my arm and observe everything I do. Didn't mean to derail the thread. I was actually gonna suggest more dats may help with color. Defending territory could help color them up seeing as most fish color up best when doing exactly that.

thanks. I actually bought 3 more IT's. A 3inch one very stable and going strong. the other 2 are super stable. So with these 3 additons, my 2 larger IT,s 7 and 10" are still unstable, but the 7" is showing signs of improvement, after water change and when displaying to the bigger one.. Also, my other 6" IT (got 6 in total) who was super stable is gong a little brown where befor he had lovely cream white stipes...a real mystery.it has been only 3 weeks since I added 4 new IT's. I'll just have to wait, may be the new stable ones will stmlate the others to colour up.
They also prefer with lights off..more time and patientce I think. At least they all swim about, come out for food.
