He probably had OTS and his fish were like the crazy hobos you see on the street -- filthy and loving it. Well, maybe not loving it but certainly conditioned to it. Clean water can be as detrimental to fish who are used to crappy perameters as ammonia filled water can be to fish living in a healthy environment - like yoursFish living with OTS need to be eased in to better conditions and although you were obviously trying to do the right thing, it ended up backfiring. Just curious, did you test the water before you did the WC? I'm wondering what the pre-WC perams were....
