as a FYI IMHO quick start products are like a rubber, you feel secure while you are getting screwed. I do not advocate there use. again IMHO.

Most Quick Start type products seem like garbage, but I've been using Stability and Microbacter7 for years now and have always had good results. Though nothing can really beat grabbing some heavily-seeded bio-media from an established filter and putting it in the new tank's filter.
 
bio bag to put the noodles or seachem matrix into from a tray? they work just fine in a bio bag in a HoB, just need the water to flow over/through
 
Heck, grab a fistful of your bio media and just throw it in the tank - it will help. You don't need to swap the entire filter, just the media.

Agree..
It's better to get some filter media from established tank....
 
I've used ATM colony with incredible results. Expensive product but it does work.

This is just another case of uneducated fish keeper keeping fish to torture and kill them.

Most of you know where I stand on this.

My helpful advice is, get the fish in fresh water with prime and find new homes. Change the water constantly keeping it fresh. Post ads for free fish and get them some proper homes.
