Hey guys,

My male Hemibagrus hasn't been eating since I got him a few weeks ago.

I've tried everything I can think of including waiting till dark and I've even wormed him.

Food I've tried:

- Fish fillets
- Prawn
- Mussels
- Various pellet feeds
- Live feeder fish
- Blood Worms
- Turtle feed

Probably some other stuff too.

I'm really starting to worry, there are other fish in the tank as well and they are all happy as anything!

Hmmmm......

Looks like my albino nemurus. They are not known for being fussy. I got mine at ~3". It grew to ~1' in a few years and has been stuck at that size for a couple of years. Always has been a good eater, especially when small - would stuff himself with anything to the max.

2-3 weeks is not too long. Perhaps, the water/tank change from his prior quarters is quite significant. It looks ok. Give him 4-5 weeks and then see. I don't think so and it doesn't look like that but does anyone in the tank bother him?

You need to make sure that your conditions are those that this fish normally enjoys.

And, try more foods - worms and krill, for example.

Give mealworms a try my lfs has got a black driftwood cat that will only eat them and dead goldfish its a bit if a nightmare for them but he cant resist them , my mate at the shop started to breed his own worms just so he can keep him fed

nice fish, has he got a cave? might help him feel more secure if he hasnt. also are you sure he isnt picking the odd bit of food in the night?
