I'll have to give mealies and dead goldfish a try.

He has a hiding spot but you might be right in that he feels a little out in the open.

I'll give him a piece of pipe or something to hang in and see how that goes!

also are you sure he isnt picking the odd bit of food in the night?

There's not any food left over in the night for him to eat most of the time.

But I feel like he must be because he's not getting thinner.
