My male is about 8 years old and only 40-45cm's in diameter....he loves ALL female rays very much

And i think we both know of the 15 year old, 80 cm female henlei.

Well its a fact that the females will grow larger than the males. So if you don't want to breed and you have a smallish tank a male would be a better choice than a female.
