Hep: my Leo got stung by another ray

I would use a half dose to slow the ray down and remove it. When it happened to me it pulled out fairly easy, About 75% of stinger was already out when I saw it.

He should be ok, mine did fine after being stung near the gills! GL!

I pulled out the rest of the stinger this morning. Leo is doing fine, here's a pic of the stinger about an inch:

I am glad your ray is doing fine.My favorite ray did the same thing except it came up threw its back and was bleeding.He died hours after being stuck.

I guess I was lucky in that the stinger didn't damage any internal organs. I hope this never happens again. I wonder how frequently this happens when someone is keeping together a lot of rays.

this has happened to me twice in the past 4 months... once to my 18" leo and once to my 9" motoro, the motoro's disk got sliced no direct jab

wow, looks like this is more common than i thought. I am contemplating about clipping off the stingers for all my rays.
