hep needed in choosing filtration

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I've had canister filters before, but I have a wet/dry now, and it's much better! It's easier to maintain and quieter. They're also easier to install than they look! (Hope your tank is pre-drilled with an overflow?) For that size tank, it'd probably end up being cheaper as well. Here's a pic of mine (well, part of it):

how big was that tank "rallysman"? and how big was your wet/dry? last and the most important one is... was it noisy??? :screwy:

it has about as much noise an an AC500 or RENA XP3. Its a 75 gallon sump and the tank is 300 gallons.

i have a 370 gallon tank. i've been in fish hobby 12 years. used both cannister and wet/dry. hands down, wet \dry is the way to go. much better in lowering nitrogen and great for aeration. also very easy to use and no mechancial breakdown. recommened size is 20% for your tank. Mine is 90gallon for my 370.
