Well, i picked up a few of these coal grunters... hyperactive lil' guys!! Eat like crazy! Fiesty too! Currently have (4) Coal grunters, (1)Mbu, and (1) Northern bowfin?!! Will post pics later!!

they are aggressive, very similar to cichlids. one reason why I won't get any. still a cool fish though.

Yeah, im guessing these guys are pretty hardy because i had a yellow bar-tailed grunter and it was one of the toiughest most energetic fish i had. He was only about 4". I fed him Beef heart and small pellets which he used to inhale! He lived with a few Blue Acaras, Brichardi and Kribensis hahaha i know wierd mix lol, they ALL died though of ich
