Hepsetus Odoe coming next week! Tips?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
My guy is around 10 inch or so now feeds on anything I put into the tank.
No aggression from him at all, tank mates range from 3 inch dats to a 14inch or so gold aro.

HAHA! Pics are coming buddy! Only think I could post right now is the shipping label pic I received as conformation that they have been sent. Should have them in hand around 12:00 tomorrow.

Thanks for letting me know that not all of these fish are total bullies Swarsh. Hopefully, even if I do get bullies, the size difference will be significant enough to discourage aggression. My Aro is creeping up on 15" and Tom told me the guys I'm getting will be around 5". By the time they go in with my Silver, even if they're 8", he should be close to double their size.

Ok, small hiccup. Odoe's arrived at my work address (as requested), but I am stuck here without coverage all day... which means I can't run home and get them in the tank right away. How long can they safely stay in their bags? I am stuck here for another 9+ hours. I can probably get someone to swing by and put them in the tank for me, if necessary.

On a positive note, fish arrived healthy and well packaged. Thanks to Tom from Aquascape in Chicago!

I'd say fish can last a long time in the bag, but i'd be leary about another 9 hours.. if they start breathing heavy get them home cause they're running out of oxygen

Thanks for the heads up man. My sister is coming to the rescue though. She should be off work in the next hour and a half and she said she'd swing by and pick them up.

Got home. Guys seem to be doing alright DESPITE the fact that one of my heaters was leaking serious voltage into the tank (enough to hurt MY finger). Sorry about the crappy camera pics, but here are Fujin and Raijin. Obviously they didn't eat tonight because of the stress, but they seem pretty hardy. Hopefully I can get a bit more of their pattern to show through soon.

Pikes are garbage cans - they'll eat anything and everything - also grow pretty quick - in 40 gal won't last long. Mines just a couple years old and well over a foot.
