Once they are about 5" or so, I would say they are fairly easyt o get off live foods. Once off live, it will be a great PLUS to show the GATF to eat non-live foods. Then you will/could have a nice expensive GATF on your hands
I HAVENT SEEN A ODOE SMALLER THEN THIS ONE FOR A LONG TIME... CAN I JUST GET THIS ONE AND KEEP LIKE A BAIT FISH IN THE TANK WITH THEM... SO HE DOESNT JUST BEAT UP ON THE GATF??? LIKE A BARB OR SOMETHING???

I would not do it. The Odoe is already big enough to have developed his character and it could go against you. He could have been raised with not a lot of tankmates which could make him very aggressive and scared to the point of defending himself out of fear. It is usually best to get small/juvi fish that are known to be aggressive. In this caes Odoe's.
Where are you located??? Im in SoCal and I just bought a 3-4" Odoe

Just an idea, I had my 3-4" Odoe with a 8.25 Tat/9.5" Spotted Gar/and a 4.5" Motoro pup. I have been starving my Tat to try to get him on to non-live foods, so I know he was hungry! Maybe this is the diff character I was talking about and have a few mellow fish. Just keep an eye out for the little guy. I would say 2-3" smaller than your Average (live fish eater) Tank mate should be okay. Just my opinion thou
Are you near SoCal? might be able to direct you to the size I picked up?
i have a odoe but hes by himself i saw him rip a feeder in half but when it comes to other fishes he tend to himself even get chase around by my NGT
