Here are my comps

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
awesome looking Mike. what size are they? i just picked up (3) 1-1.5" goldhead comps and they're not as vibrant as yours.. what's your secret. :D

i just got 6 gold comps for my 125 with 9 little burundi fronnies and 5 f1 blue dolphins

i moved my breeding caudos and multis out as i dont like mixing fish :-p

my gold comps are 1.5-2" nice litle fellas

Yes, gold head. From a breeder. I have one orange in the tank. I did not get a pic of it. I got it a while ago. Some of his siblings had a deformed nose spike. He did not.

I have a pair of black calvus
I have a single ink fin
3 gold head 1m 3f
1 orange
4 dwarf
2 fire fin

Not all are pictured. They are hiding. I believe they are trying to breed, but are all sharing the same area of the 120 as the julies and lelepui have the other parts. I will attempt to breed later in the fish room... Thanks for all the great comments. I will add more later. Feel free to add yours too.

I will get more... They are going in a show 135 with buffaloheads and fronts.... dwarfs will stay in shellie tank.

not to hijack..:) but since you all have way more experience w/ comps/calvus then i do. :) My bro-in-law is hand off (2) of his 3-4" GH comps to me.. can i keep them in the same tank along with my (3) 1-1.5" comps?? not a good idea?? thanks all

i wouldnt do that.. altos are very aggressive between them...specially with smaller one
and can live in pairs or harems..but only one male..and that will require a lot of space for each female to build their own territory.. or the subdominant males to hide

it can ve done..but you'll require a big tank like mike's..if you have it go for it..:D
