very easy to answer NO

exactly, i believe arowana are some of the most intelligent freshwater fishes and their eyes seem pretty sharp , this gives them the ability to find anything. recently i put a stonefish in my tank with black gravel and background, the aro found him out after 10mins though he was completely camouflaged... :screwy:

Slightly of topic, but can anyone give names of plants which are considered "floating plants" good ones, to be put in a tank full of monsters! :)

Depends on what you mean by floating. Plants like water lettuce and water hyacinth float on the surface with leaves above water and roots below. So do some ferns like Azolla and Salvinia but they are much smaller, tinier still (and a pain in an aquarium) is duckweed. Then there are plants that float below the surface like Riccia, Hornwort, also Najas (guppy grass) and Elodea (which also grows rooted). Depending on where you live, some of these plants are illegal or cannot be shipped across state lines. Also water lettuce and hyacinth get quite large and stick out of the water up to a foot in height which means a special top (or lowering the water level) so the plants have room and light while the fish can't escape. All these plants must have very bright lighting to thrive.
