Nice tank, love the DD tanks, I know sometimes you've gotta do what you've gotta do, but it doesn't seem too bad.

If you do get over stocked get a protein skimmer I have one for my messy catfish and goldfish, you can make them work in freshwater by adding salt to the water.
In 20 plus year never heard of such a thing. Would you like to entertain us with some studies to prove your statement?
Not trying to be mean just never heard of a successful FW Skimmer. I have read of people trying them but there must be a reason we don't see them used as a standard piece of equipment in the FW world.
