I was thinking about getting a Silver Aro but here is my situation:

I have a 150gal Tall atm (48x24x31) with 1 AT 6" 1 IT 3" 1 Leopard Ctenopoma 3" 1 Common Pleco 11" 3 apollo sharks all around 6" and picking up another Dat tomorrow roughly 5-6". In 4 months maximum I am getting a 300gal (96x31x24).

I was wondering if it would be safe to get a silver aro now or will it eat my smaller fish in a matter of time depending on size I get. Or should I wait till the babies are a certain size?

If it is ok I would be picking it up tomorrow with the Dat but if not then I will just be bringing hom a Dat.

your dats may been gone son and say by to pleco :( good lcuk though ;)

so the Dats might get eaten? and the Aro would kill the pleco? even though one is a top dweller and the other is a bottom dweller?

I thought I would of had more responses by now, I guess people are to busy getting fat lol :D

Good bye to the pleco:confused: Not sure what a silver is going to do to a pleco, all my aros couldn't care less about plecos. With silvers if the fish can fit into it's mouth there is always a chance of losing that fish. IME my silvers do not go after any of my smaller fish.

thanks that is a little more helpful lol

I don't see any problem with that list a silver is not going to hurt a pleco maybe if you had a large silver it may go after a smaller fish if it goes for food at the surface .I have a 23'' black with dats large and small plecos clown loaches if my aro misses a meal she sometimes gets curios about botum dwellers butt she is to awkward when it comes to eating off the bottom . how big is the aro you are getting?

I think when I saw it, it was like 5" nothing monster yet

so by the time it is 15" or so it will be in the 300gal...

Sounds good ,have you considered a black aro just my personal preference you can get a real nice one from a mfk vendor.
