I like a local store called Dragon Aquarium they have more of the exotic fish, they might have one so I will see. That is where I am getting the Dat from.

I just dont want to take the risk of an online vendor and have it Dying on the way to me.
 
I would say the biggest risk is the dats. Maybe not right away but with a silver it would grow fast enough to make a quick meal of your slower growing dats. I'm not saying its impossible because I used to keep my silver that I ended trading in @ about 20" with senegals that could have easily been noodles to him and a small pleco as well. I think it worked because they were together since they were small because anything else that I put in the tank would get roughed up by the silver.
 
my Jar doesnt do anything to bottom dwellers...i used to have a tiny bristle nose in with him and right now 3 small 3" CL's and he would look at them but wouldnt even flinch...even at small feeders..my indo dat is roughly 3" and my Jar is 11"+ and he doesnt even mind my dats presence...in fact i think they're friends, lol....

anyways, i know that my aro is not a silver but, judging by the Jar's rep to annihilate any tankmates..i'm pretty sure that a silver will be easier on the dats and pleco then my Jar would have been..so i think that your silver will be ok with them..
