Here she is (Again)... Motoro =)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
^^ What he said!

go canister fill it up with matrix.

you lack the bio filteration this Ray will need in the short term future.
Sure it works now, just please get some more bio filtration going.
And feed it heaps of whatver it accepts until it gets nice and plump.

other than that, nice looking ray man, good find.

If you're willing to spend a little more money, you can get an FX5 on ebay for just over $200. That would provide you with plenty of filtration for now and for an upgrade in the future.

It seems like you are quite new to this but learning fast. Re: the Arowana...I would not go adding any more fish as this will make the (lacking) filtration work harder.

I appreciate you needing to fatten her up with a lot of feeds but do keep checking the water with test kits weekly and keep up the water changes

I know a lot about fish, water quality and very little about rays but I am sure one fish is like any other, mix the worms with favourite foods so they accidentally get eaten and it will get the taste I suspect.

Try to let the tank and water settle without changing too much else.

The cannister filter / external is the way to go and do not waste small amounts on things that are no good and end up spending on the thing you should have bought. "buy cheap, buy twice"

Keep up the good work and keep your chin up, your recent threads look like you have been picked on a bit but people are trying to help.

Yeah thank you. The water is almost pristine right now and is getting better. She has taken to eating worms now and shrimp pellets and bloodworms along with other things. The arowana is also thriving and is already getting bigger! I am very excited to watch these 2 live together for years to come. THanks a lot
Tyler

She is thriving now but thanks for the useful advice Ade.

Hi Tyler, glad to hear that things are getting better for the ray.

Please post up some up to date pics as it would be good to see her.

Keep up the water testing and the water changes and I am sure that you will be ok.

Good Luck

I bought it at lowes and it says safe for aquariums. I have had no problems with it and also use it with my piranha. But i will be sure and get some new pics as well as my new 40 long i set up for my piranha. She loves her worms!!! =)
Thanks
Tyler
