@TLFL, I paid for it just about 95 bucks, -1200 mexican pesos-, a fair price IMO.
@Water, indeed he's getting vey stocky, nice reading you back pal.
@Bozaron, nope I dont feed him just three pellets, he eats at least trice per day, he eats grand Sumo red and Grand Sumo growth enhancer as a trait, and as a staple he eats raw salmon.

Sorry if it was a dumb question I am still new to FHs and struggling to find the right info on how much food to give mine. At the moment I feed twice a day, Hikari Gold about 6 to 8 mini sized pellets each time and then about twice a week a cube of frozen bloodworm.

How big is your flowerhorn?
If the flowerhorn starts to have bulging belly or poop then I'd say stop feeding..
Just make sure that you don't overfeed..
Why is that?...If I were you I'd visit Fengshui Flowerhorn, they have excellent fish there, some are certainly expensive buy you people earn USD....
yes I`'m pleased with my fish, I'd like to get a kamfa though....

Basically it is the same, Grand Sumo Red and growth enhancer, I seldom give this FH Spectrum now, for some reason he doesnt like spectrum that much whereas my other FH only seems to want to eat Spectrum...lol!.-
What youre feeding your fish is OK, for what i've read people in this site have a high opinion on Hikari, only it would be good if you feed your FH some little chunks of raw salmon twice a week, moreover i think youre feeding him very few pellets, I feed my fish all he can eat within 5 minutes, and that's it, I assure you he could eat much more than 6 pellets.
On sundays when I am at home most of the day I feed my fish about 5 times, lol, it is only that everytime I pass in front of his tank he asks for food!!! and I cannot avoid to toss some few pellets most of the times I cross in front of his begging face....
