Next Update:

The Largemouth Bass passed away , he didnt make it. I am angry because I have god damn idea why this all happened. I contantly check the water and test it. I have no idea what happened but I hope the survivors will be strong enough to live on.:nilly::(

Melafix isn't a very effective med for most bacterial infections.

That said, he may have had something that wasn't effectively treatable by most meds you may be able to find at your LFS. Some things can be hard to diagnose, like those red spots, because several types of diseases show those symptoms.

I really wouldn't beat yourself up over it. I've had plenty of fish die for unknown reasons, some didn't even show any signs of ill health previously, while water parameters were fine and all other fish were healthy. Sometimes fish have diseases or health problems that don't show symptoms until they're just too far gone to treat, or in the case of viral infections cannot be treated anyway.

If the other fish start showing red spots or the same signs as him you can try treating with something like erythromyin. Maracyn Two is also an option. Beware of some other antibacterials since they can be quite effective in also killing your biological filter and should only be a last resort or used in a hospital tank.

It just seems so much harder to watch over these little guys!!!

I mean its like if they sneeze then boom an outbreak!!! :nilly:

Its really weird, but now I have a 75 gallon tank and before I used to keep a 12 inch Bass in a 30 gallon and then I felt bad and gave him a way to someone who had a 125 gallon tank. But you know what.....that Largemouth Bass was probably the most toughest fish I ever seen in my entire life. You would think that a fish would end up getting sick faster and having complications in such a small tank where his waste was like the size of peas & kibbles and there were times when his own feces caused the PH to drop to 6.5  and you know what!!!!!!! He was just fine!!!!!! He never broke out in Ich, he never had ulcers or red inflamation. He was as strong as an Ox!

I dont understand, I mean Im keeping the little Bass in a giant tank where its much more difficult to make mistakes and yet they all end up with every known problem in the world.

Can someone justify why this is happening like this, why a Big Bass can outlive the odds in a small tank and yet little Bass in a giant tank are suffering practically plague after plague lol??????

I mean I dont know anymore! :screwy:

Should I just get big fish from now on??? I mean seriously I had that big bass in a 30 gallon for like freakin 5 months. He was alert and ready to go in the morning and sound asleep at night. I never had a single problem with temperature or PH , in fact when I had him in the 30 gallon tank I didnt even have a freakin TEST KIT!!!!!!!!!!!!

I dont know.....................

Again guys thanks for your support!

I don't know. I've used sunfish to cycle tanks, they're not exactly fragile. I'm thinking you just got some sickly fish.
