Nice set-up! He will soon make that tank look VERY small! Lol...I remember the days when i thought a 125 was a big tank :grinno:

I plan on building a 5' x 5' x 4' indoor pond in my shop. It will take me most of the winter to complete(I will start a thread in the next month or so in the DIY section) so I bought a rubbermaid 300 gallon stock tank to put the bass in after they grow out of the 125g. Realistically the 5' x 5' pond should hold around 550 gallons if I give it 12" of space at the top.

Sweet man! I'd like to do that in my house, haha...but i'm still tryin to sell that idea to the wifey...That'll be cool to see progress, definitly post some pics! If that is an Orino, then he should be fine in that 125 for at least a year, maybe longer. (IMO)

Possibly a mono. Get some dither fish in there he will get more courage. Either more cichla, or some other similar sized non aggressive species. Hes hiding and showing full stress patterns b/c he is scared. Once he sees other fish swimming out in the open w/o being attacked he will know its safe to come out and his personality will start to show. Good luck with it and welcome to the disease.

I put in 2 pictus catfish@ 2" , 7 platy's, 10 bloodfin tetras, and a molly that was harassing the fish in my 20g long planted tank. I know they will be dinner in about a week. I believe my PB already picked off a platy and a tetra, He seems much happier. Yet he still likes the hang out by the heater and filter intake. His colors have already improved and instead of hiding he's using the cover as an ambush point. I love his tenacity and agression

The PB my LFS ordered arrived DOA:(. So i ordered 3 ocell's from The Wet Spot in Portland, Oregon. My new babies will be shipped next Tuesday and will arrive on Wednesday. $10 bucks each and the shipping is dirt cheap since they are only about 175 miles away.:)

That's good, because that little fellow looked stressed and scared. For future reference, it's better to buy your little ones in groups, and raise them together in a small tank like a 55 gal. to start. It's natural for the little ones to be in groups. After they have outgrown the small tank, you can then put them in your larger tank, and sell off the ones you don't wish to keep. It's much less stressful for the little guys that way.

Man nice little pbass. i Just got my little pbass 3 days ago.
