I'm referring to the downpipe of the overflow.....gravity pulled...
The pipes are about 1,2 inches wide.
I tested with a flow up to 500 gallons pr. hour, I think the limit is there somewhere.

I will use this idea on my outdoor tanks and above ground ponds which tend to fill up over the top during heavy downpours.
A pipe screen on the intake should prevent small fish from getting flushed.
I guess I will have to junk my drilling plans. You just saved me a lot of money and a lot of drilling.

I think the $ figures you posted might be a little high. They are either typos or PVC is very expensive over there.
I think if I use 1/2 inch PVC it should not cost me more than $ 5 each. Since I already have all the parts needed to make several of this, it should not cost me anything.
