If your going to buy Red Arowana or Gold Arowana, I suggest you purchase from a different and reputable shop since the dishonest LFS seller lie to you twice..:(

Nice lookin aros, definitly will need a bigger tank and keep your old one handy in case you need to seperate that jardini. Easiest way to tell the diff. between an asian aro and a jar, is the asian aro will only have 5 rows of scales on its side.

It pays to research a fish before you buy it. That way you can tell when someone is about to stick it to you. Caveat Emptor (sp)

the asian name and american name is different for fishes in asia.. :x
i was mistaken and will not make the mistake again.
i purchased a new tank today! pics will follow soon.

Well I don't get you jerry, I'm in Asia and I know that Jardini is Australian Arowana aka Pearl Arowana. There is no way or no such place to name them as Gold arowana as the actual gold arowana already exist..

............................. Apparently you dont understand mandarin..
in mandarin they call it: jin long .. which translate to english as most people would think.. Gold Dragonfish.. jin = gold.

ask your mandarin/chinese friends.

jerry,

lets get some details on the new tank!

where are those pics!......

haha....just eager to see

Don't go by the Chinese names - one look and you should be able to tell whether it is an ozzie or asian- they both look different- if you are not able to tell the diff, I suggest do a lot more homework, there are tons of pics on the net- rely on yourself not fish shop.

bro, I am a Chinese and even when you talk abt their mandarin names, the so called "Gold Arowana" u purchased is actually "ao zhou long", or "zhen zhu long", noone call them "jin long", as jin long is refering to Red Tail Golden Arowana or Crossback arowana..
