Heres why parents eat their young!!!

Not sure but I think female guppies will eat they're young to "protect them" from other fish. Its like saying, I I'm afraid you will eat my kids so I'm gonna eat um first. What stupid parents! At least, that's what I've heard they why they do it. Either that or they're just plain stupid.

I've heard show guppy breeders say that the parents eat the young more often than the more common "mutt" guppy parents. Also have heard that wild angels are better at caring for young than more domesticated exotic varieties. FWIW

my electric blue acaras have spawned 3 times and after about 3 days of them being free swimming they are all gone I suspect the female as the male spends most of the time chasing of the other fish
