WOW a rare sight of those rare cichlids, congratz with the spawn and good luck raising the fry.

The parents seem very small, what size/age are they.

Congrats! Looks like they breed at a very young age..babies having babies lol.

Female is about 2.5-3 in and the male is a solid 4in. They are around 18-20 months old F1s. The female was always tiny compared to the others and these things grow very slow. Will get some more pics up soon. Moved the parents to a separate tank. Fry have 72x11x12 all to themselves now. They are eating well on hikari first bites.

I do not see them around much. They are another awesome fish. You have something a lot of people would love to have. Get the fry out into the hobby.
