We have a list we can order from which has heros sp chocolate de inirida on it. Have you guys ever heard of heros sp inridae being called this or is it more likely to be heros severus from the indridae river.
I've never heard of it. I've seen a lot of exporter lists that have names that are dubious at best. I'm going to venture a guess that "chocolate" refers to color and would probably mean the mouthbrooding severus type.
There is a chance that they mean chocolate cichlids, Hypselecara temporalis. It looks like that list uses a lot of outdated and invalid scientific names, which is consistent with other lists I've seen in the past. Those lists often lump groups of cichlids together (Krobia and Bujurquina get lumped into Aequidens or acaras, for instance). It's entirely possible that they're just putting chocolates down as Heros, since they are part of the Heroini tribe of cichlids and resemble severums. Just a thought.
Notice that they also have a fish listed as Heros sp. with the scientific name of "Cichlasoma severum" (the old classification for severums) but the common name is listed as Falso Disco ("false discus"), which is a common name for Uaru amphiacanthoides. So I'd say that list is completely messed up.
