Awesome snakes!

Ringnecks are definitely one of my favorite "micro hots" since they are slightly venomous, but only enough to paralyze a worm or a salamander. I'm lucky if I find one in a year even though they apparently are supposed to be one of the most common snakes in many areas but stay very well hidden 99% of the time.

yeah its been hard to find them anymore. I used to find them by the dozens. No only just about 1 or 2 a year. The water snakes are always out ill fing around 5 in an hours time. Haha. Just got my new camera a few days ago so these are just the ones ive got from the past 3 days.

Love the variation on water snakes here :)
I have one place that (before they cleared out all the greenery :( ) I could get 10-15 water snakes within a few minutes. I could probably spot them all at once but rounding them up takes a bit longer lol have seen all colors from light tan to solid black in there. the black and orange ones are my favorite though
I have bad luck finding any snakes these days =/ I look but don't see anymore

all i do is go out at sunset and drive around one the sand roads. I only go out for an hour or two at a time. Theres not to many places i can go and look in the woods but this is just way easier haha

I totally loove herping! Here is me when I was 7 months pregnant! I caught a rough green snake while hiking with my brother! He was such a little sweetie to!
