strange i have 4 clown loachs ,recently one dissapeared been gone about 2 weeks looked high and low did'nt find him so i assumed a fat sun cat snacked on him .
I guess not! loked into the tank there they were all four of them swimming together cant quite figure it out this guys behave in the strangest ways maybe he was in the twilight zone or somthing :) anyone else lose a fish and have it return.

I lost fish that were found, but nothing like that. I breed convicts for food purposes. During one of my quarterly filter changes, I found that two convicts not only survived in the filter intake, but was as large as the largest fry born during that time.

But glad you found your fish :-)

Glad you found your loach again. Loaches sneak in the darkest corner and tightest corners. I thought one of mine got eaten by my temensis. And when i stopped looking, he just came out.

I've lost fsh for a week. I have a lot of lace rock in my tank though. you'd be suprised where these critters can get into

Can you hear the Twilight Zone music playing?

I have an ornate bichir who has disappeared for weeks at a time. His longest vanishing act was over a month. I feed the other fish shrimp during the day and he usually comes out at feeding time but on two different occations he has not shown his face for 3-5 weeks.

A few months ago I was missing a tetra. After searching I found him wedged between a big piece of lava rock and the tank glass. After releasing, he swam like any fish that looked like it was going to die but surprisingly he snapped out of it.

When I used to use an undergravel filter I had a botia striata loach that some how found out how to get underneath the undergravel filter. He would disapear for week at a time and then appear again. Then one day I took out the undergravel filter and there he was. So that is where my loach used to hide. He was the only one of six that would do this.

yea, lost a red clawed crab for about 3 weeks and found him again, also lost one or two plecos that turned up again. Loaches bury under things all the time, thats prob what your clown did. my two yoyos were not seen for a couple of days until i found they had made a "nest" under a large rock. when lifted it up it was amazing, it was like looking at those ant boxes where you can see tunnels and chambers. (not as intracate mind you)
