I was going to suggest doing what she did, I have had to remove lures from fish that way, and a bullhead from a LMB once.

So practical unless it's their own crap that's having a problem.

My mom's the same way, yet she freaked out and dragged her cat down to my house to "feel her tumors" on the way to an EMERGENCY Saturday vet appointment.

Guess what? The cat's obese. Not tumorous.
