That isn't equal size, that is equal length. A 20" dovii is going to weigh a lot more than a 20" bichir....

And have a look at the teeth on this 2' congicus, and remember its not fully grown...

That thread was made to start trouble (intended or not) and really is pointless when one considers where these fish come from. Some research into scales shows that ganoid scales are impressively strong. They are made of much thicker bone than other scales. That said, it was a pretty stupid thread to start in the first place. A dovii does not need to penetrate the scales in order to kill it, so why does it matter if it can't pierce through?
