my friend had one thats about 5 inches and his is not dark yet and mine has always been dark and they do get darker when breeding

Now I'm confused. So is it too hard to tell at this point? Cause a lot of you guys said female and I've also heard male now.

Also I'm thinking about switching out the substrate. I think there is a real possible chance Apache will darken up if I do that. (Ya I named her/him Apache cause I dont know what he/she is haha)

Yep also looks female to me. Take a picture of the mouth area lower jaw really good and it will be easier to tell. Also in another little bit of time it will be easier to tell as color will develop
