They are growing fast . Its nice to see the bottom so clean .

I have caught racoons and grey harens eating my fish and animals out of the pond. but the eggs are frog eggs and the kio is currently breeding with a female a bit younger and darker and there babies are doing well. its hard to keep them alive. though i do have maybe a dozen kio in there. My mother and i built this pond about 7 years ago. and thank you for complimenting on it. it is her pride and joy.

these are some random shots of the animals i have had in here this last spring. the kio, the mother of those eggs, some toads and this copper head decided to mess with my japanese hunting dog. She is a shiba inu and she doesnt play around. have a few scars myself

and if anybody keeps copper heads or snakes in general this is a warning to keep the dog away.

the species gets very protective of what it regards as its one master. my mother is the only one that can really cuddle with her. And she is incredibly defensive of my mom.
