Not true 2 of my local fish stores carry them both and yes they are the same fish with the blue gene isolated however there is a distinct difference in coloration when you see them. One is a lite powder blue and the other is alot stronger, deeper, rich blue.

They are the same fish bro. There is going to be some color variation in a large batch of fry. All the young start out as the pic in the start of this thread. Trust me I have about 40 of them left in my holding tanks. Below is a link to a thread were this has came up before.

I know. Thats what I said. Same species. Just 2 different color variations. Here they sell the light ones as powder blue for around $30 and the electric blue for about $50.
