no lfs around me have crayfish would like a blue one though. eventually im gonna get a bigger tank and move the jag and put some bigger cichlids in it.

be prepared to get a grow out tank though, its always hard when you have a big cichlid in a tank cause trying to add to it you need the new fish to be of similar size.
I've heard of african cichlids working with crayfish and all cichlids do differ in personality. I had 2 yellow eared sliders that lived with a convict/sajica hybrid for years. sometimes things that shouldn't work, work just fine.
IF you was to get it working, you would have to have the cichlids introduced to the crustaceans at a young age, and if they grow up with them, they will not view them as a threat.

there all pretty much young except for the jag he is a bit bigger. got a deal on another tank and it comes with a not so healthy gt so lookin forward to rehabbing my new gt
Ya the jag is probably ur only problem lol especially with a jag growth rate so ur screwed for crustaceans unless you drop them in now and grow them up but if not they will be a snack and a jag gets huge and commonly eat everything that comes within range or threatens it but good luck and if no pet store sells the crayfish check a hunting and fishing store a local gander mountain which is an outdoor store sells crayfish for 15 cents but that might just be by me
