Miguel, lgarruda
I´m from São Paulo/SP but staying at Campinas/SP for a while.
Yooper,
Hope you have a very nice time at Garopaba. Beatifull beaches down there! For us, Garopaba and the other close beaches are known for the surfers and beatifull girls. Beaches are wilder than in Rio or other northestern states. I mean they are less comercially explored. More calm and more close to a natural spot. But you also have good restaurants, bars, nightlife, you know, urban things to do.
I myself have never been there, but have friends that have.
Talking about aquariums (huge ones), you won´t find anything there as far as I know, but if you have time to come to São PAulo State (aproximately 2h plane), we have 3 public aquariums around. Smaller than the US´s but interesting to see some brazilian species from Amanzonia to the south.
