I just thought I'd do a quick hello and introduce myself. I am a long time Discus addict and forum surfer. Discus are my passion, although I am taking a break from them at this time after selling my stock about 8 weeks ago and downsizing from 9 tanks to 3. I'm excited to have recently purchased a new tank that I hope to have set up in the next couple of months. My son is building an oak stand and canopy for it. (it being an Oceanic 178 gallon show tank) I am thinking about trying Altums, but have also considered whether or not I might want to try a larger fish. The only tank I have going right now is a heavily planted 75 gallon tank with cardinals, dwarf neon rainbowfish, albino bristlenose, and way too many Red Cherry Shrimp. I sure enjoy the free time I have now that the Discus are gone and daily water changes are not neccessary. It gives me more time to ride my 5 year old Paint horse mare, who is as much a passion for me as the fish, maybe even more. ;) I am moderator and co-administrator on a few forums out there. I think this forum is one of the top ones out there and the Admin. and Mods should be applauded for their efforts. Hope to see some of you around the forum.
Best Regards from Iowa,
Sue

I used to tell people if I had to choose between my horses and my fish....the fish would lose. ;) I used to show in a lot of Paint and Pinto Horse Association shows years ago and had 5 Paints. After years of having no horses; between my daughter, granddaughter, and I we have 3 horses. (2 Paints and 1 quarter horse) It's nice to meet someone with such common interests Red Devil. Sometime I'd love to see pics of your horses and fish.
