I have to agree, but they may not breed as readily as convicts, but once you have a pair, they're like convicts. They aren't as mean in breeding, so it gives you a chance at adding around possibly a few shoals of different fish. And possibly have other cichlids in with them, but they have to be the mellow cichlids just to avoid losing some very uncommon fish in the hobby.
