Hi - it's another mystery cichlid question; sorry

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Nice fish.
The first is a hybrid Aulonocara (Peacock) The second is probably a non-hybrid Aulonocara species.

I just this minute got an email from the LFS and the blue fellow is Elongatus mpanga. The other Aulonacara remains a mystery.

Thanks Santoury - very happy with them myself :)

...and we now have the smaller Aulonocara as Jacobfreiberg, which just leaves with the one in the first and second shots

nice tank in you avatar. is that where he is?

Blue one is indeed a socolofi. The one in the first and second pics has already been identified correctly as a hybrid peacock. They're abundant in stores and typically sold under such names as a strawberry peacock, dragon's blood, pink peacock...you name it.

thanks folks. I think you're correct.

Gourami thanks - yup that's their spot. It's a 180L Juwel Vision. Up and running x 4 weeks now. First-timer and very new to all this :)
