They sure are neat and dangerous sir. The aquarium should be large enough so as to provide enough lee-way in doing routine maintenance(siphoning, etc. BTW i attached a plastic rod to the siphon so my hand doesnt touches the water when siphoning.) in regards with the surge in waterpump, hmm..i hope theres someone out there who can educate us on this.:)

I would think that since the electrical parts of the pump are insulated from the water, that this will not be an issue. If current could find a path from the water into the pump wiring, then I'm sure current from within the pump's wiring could find its way out. I'm no electrical engineer, but I do know that much.
