yea, I always find the wild pygos has the better body shape than a lot of captive kept ones.
here's an example, the nattereri in the front is very overfed, got a big belly just like an overfed human.
the caribe in the back looks much better.

Thanks for the photo,,
I don't want some fat nattereris swimming in my tank i will feed them a bit less from now on.

yea, as they get bigger you can cut back a bit more. few days to a week without food after they reach 7-8" would be fine. as I mentioned before, if you have a lot of current in the tank then you can feed a bit more. with less feeding they will put up a more entertaining show when you do feed them :)

obviously thats why im on this site to ask for help!! i just got 7 baby rbp!!. i only have bloodworms to feed at this moment, am i suppose to feed them bloodworms?? the rbp kills it when it drops into the tank!

You have 7 rbp in a 20 gal tank? I suggest looking for a bigger tank within the next few days. You will need about 15-20 gal of space per fish.

Bloodworms are fine but a high quality pellet should help create less waste. I only know that I kill off my water quality when I feed nightcrawlers. My baby piranha was the size of my hand when I got him but I quickly learened that things containing crap and scales are not that much fun to clean up.

I'm waiting on a new pump to get a bit more current i the tank.
And as you say they will put on more of a show if hungry:headbang2
