Hi.. New RBP

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I've been saying that same thing Matte!pellets alone aren't enough. IMO fish pellets are basically the same as parrot pellets.don't get me wrong I know they're different, but they're made the same processed & extruded when they make these pellets they lose their nutritional values.its been well known for years with the parrot pellets.the manufacturers want n lead to believe its everything your pet needs but its far from it! I treat my birds n fish the same when it comes to food, pellets are only a portion of their diet.IMO the more things you feed the better n healthier your fish will be.

I think you are right, but it would be nice to maybe change one of the feedings to pellets it feels like pellets doesn't pollute the water as much as all the rest i give them.

Just stay away from TetraCichlids Jumbo Sticks. When i was looking for something bigger then Hikari i picked that stuff up and it's just messy. I had to toss in snails and guppies to clean the tank back up.

The shoal is getting bigger :D
I bought 5 rbp yesterday so now i have a total of 12.
The new ones are about the same size as the ones i had before.

All went well when i put the new ones in the tank i made a big water change and made some changes in the tank.
The shoal looks better and are more active now.
Here's some pictures.

I only count 10 did you lose 2 already.lol that bottom pic with rbp eye shining red on the right is awesome.that's a awesome pic!almost got em all in it less I just aren't seeing last two on this phone. Lookn awesome Matte. I bet you'll like em even more once they settle in a lil more.

Thanks Burner!!
Its hard to get them all in one picture.
But all of them is alive and well the shoal is more aggressive when feeding and they are more confident when the lights are on now.
I cant wait until they get bigger,, its lucky they grow fast :D

Good luck getn all of em in one pic!lol the more rbp you have the better they act IMO n now they less likely to stake out a territory less a few go into spawning mode.looking awesome! Makes me wanna mix a couple more in too!I have 5 of my leftover rbp bout 3" now so probably throw them in with adults here someday.a moon light(blue leds)would be awesome while your watchn movies on that HUGE screen!add some dirty white colored rock to your sand n you'll have your own lil amazon in your livingroom. What's next Matte? Lil rocky/caves on one side or along the back? N adding some convicts for a renewable food source?or a sweet stump with bunch of roots n plants n 50 neons? Something bout lil blue neons(big school)n bunch of rbp just looks awesome to me.

Gonna be hard to beat this setup! Bet that sands gonna glow with blue leds! I had my cars green leds on my rbp tank with blk n neon green rock for a while.looked nice. I really wanna see a tank with red leds n rbp! I read somewhere that fish have a had time or can't see red n if that's true I wonder if a red light would be like no light at all.mammals don't see red light.Idk

Wow, agreed 110% I nearly tossed the can out but it was better than the Top Fin large cichlid food that I was feeding before. The Top Fin stuff has 2 different sized pieces in it... The p's liked the crunchy red bits but never ate the more coin shaped ones that sunk faster. Still in the process of feeding the feeder tank both containers of food. :irked:
