rhode island of course
i went to a lfs today and they had 3 inch high red texas for 10.99 each is this a good price..i wanna get them all they are really nice..oppinions

They are flowerhorns. I am not saying that derogatorily, just that those fish are all over the charts when it comes to price. I have yet to understand how the prices on flowerhorns (or the demand for them) is determined. Some shops will have 2 fish, one really unusual and colorful for $190. Then another one that nobody takes a second look at and they give it some crazy name and want $150 bucks for it :grinno:

That red texas is worth whatever you (or anyone else) will pay for it (just like any other fish). The problem is, being hybrids, they're all different so there is no real way of determining value.

Take it and Run......Yes Hybrid, Yes can be unstable, but if they turn out at all, 10.99 is a steal!

Run my man.......

RUN!

pic? color?

MANY "red texas" I have seen are nothing more than a regular texas, with a little extra spangling.

All the hype has not impressed me in the least.

no this isnt a fh..its def a tex..and it is red not more spangled just blue and red

Why are you talking to me??

GO GET IT MAN!!! :nilly:

Next to CUBANS, its the fish I have wanted for so long,

and yet have been scared off by the Aqua Bid Prices..... :WHOA:

Singapore?? Not to ship to me...... :screwy:

Hmmm...

Don't know. Not saying you don't know what you're talking about but all the red texas I have seen were flowerhorns. Texas with Parrots or Midas or something. I don't know, I don't claim to know a *thing* about FHs. I'll never understand the craze... Imagine spawning two fish to get 150 junk fish and (possibly) one or two with somewhat cool traits and trying to sell them for $190. Actually I've never known anyone that has spent a butt-load of money on a FH (or any money for that matter) but someone must be because there sure are enough of them out there with disgusting price tags.

When you say it's definitely a Texas, what do you mean? Texas aren't red... As far as I know, there are no selectively bred red Texas.

Again, not stirring the pot, just making conversation.

yeah i understand were your coming from and i know your not stirring the pot..but they dont have like that fh look..they look like texas..but there spangles are red...they look exactly like texas..but red..when i get them i will get pics..this guy also has sajica that i want
