Ill just wait for yours to spawn!

:D

Remember, "red texas" are hybrids (I don't know the classification, but they are pretty much FH). Could be as hard as spawning blood parrots. But good luck to you.

Oh, and about shipping from rapps...$60+ for up here (and then the bagging charges, bag buddies, and all that which will bring the shipping to about $100). Good fish though.

Texas are nice fish and i do believe the red form is a hybrid of some sort they sound pretty nice. If you have the tank space go for it. As for price who knows as I haven't seen any here supply and demand says that once they do I'd be paying a pretty penny so that is probably a good deal

Hey dovii88! Where are the pics already???

I think that when carpediem was saying that they are flowerhorns, he only meant that they were hybrids of a Texas and some other fish, most likely a devil or midas. Most people classify SA/CA hybrids as flowerhorns no matter what they are hybrids of.

Yeah, that's what I was saying... To me, a Flowerhorn IS a SA/CA hybrid. It's basically a mongrel cross between misc. species to attain a set of characteristics that some sucker... oooh, I mean some hobbyist will pay a lot of money for :) I could be wrong but I didn't think that it mattered what species were involved to make a flowerhorn a flowerhorn.

Trimac crossed with Midas = Flowerhorn
Carpinte crossed with Midas = Flowerhorn

No?
