I have always loved bigger fish, and I'm getting a 6ft tank soon(in a month) so Ive been searching for stocking ideas for the tank coming and someone from another forum referred me to this site cause I'm looking for bigger fish type then the ordinary aquariums. I have 2ft now with ~2 kribs ~4 tiger barbs ~plecostums 3"(for the 6ft) ~tyre track eel 6"(for the 6ft)
I got the eel as an early birthday present from my sister in law so please don't flame about keeping it in a 2ft tank.

I'm keeping em in the 2ft (don't want them to be lunch) and later(when I have money again) get 3ft for them and the kribs and 4 four more tigerb for the group.
For the 6ft i'm plan so to get BGK +the eel +the pleco + 1 pair maybe 2 pair's snakeskin gouramis (if it will work?) + 6-8 Angels?

IF you don't mind me asking were are you getting that 6ft tank from because I am also looking for a bigger tank but the only way is to have it custom made. I live in the North west Province but I can travel any were, so if you don't mind telling me were you are going to get your tank I would really appreciate it....and so would my fish....lol

Petmaster in Boksburg, I pre-orderd one cause you don't really get them in the shops another place is Benoni aqaurium that can help you, but they are a bit more expensive with their tanks.Try the junkmail sometimes they have some big tanks in their too. The only reason I can afford one is cause I'm getting one for my birthday.
 
Howzit. Welcome. Where in SA you from? What are you looking for as regards to fish? Agressive? Peaceful? Active? Colorful? How wide is the six footer?
