Hi...
Today I've noticed that my tapajos pair are guarding one place when I look closely I saw there was eggs....
Now my question is that how much time does it take for eggs to hatch....
What can I do now ?? To get some babies tapajos lol :)
Your suggestion are greatly appreciated

The female with pick up the eggs in a few days and hold them in her mouth. They will hatch in her mouth and she will keep them in there for a ffew more days. The parents share this responsibility. They will eventually make a pit in the substrate and drop the babies to switch turns and such.

eventually they become free swimming and need to be protected. best to move them to another tank so you can raise them.

While the parent is holding they will not eat.

Is there any way to find whether the eggs are fertilise or not???

Philipraposa is right - but I wanted to add that if this is their first spawn there is a very good chance they'll eat the eggs

if they go white they are not fertile and will likely be eaten. If they keep their off white color / beige color they are good. You should notice a small black dot form inside. The eyes :)

^ this.

I would also add that if you want the best chance at the eggs hatching the best thing to do is to get or build an egg tumbler and pull the eggs before the parents start brooding them. Most orange heads eat the eggs when new to spawning. Old timers have it down easily but new parents usually consume the eggs. Pulling the eggs before they hatch is the best chance one will have at growing out fry from new parents.
